Senior Day Out April 14, 2016


Spring Celebration  is a day filled with fun, fellowship, entertainment, and devotion. This is a day that is focused with you in mind. The day starts with juice, coffee and something sweet, then moves to fun and entertainment, and ends with a delicious lunch.  The day is designed for anyone free for the day as well our Seniors to come to our facilities and enjoy the day out.  This day out is offered in April and October with one day event.  On Thursday April 14th , we will feature two very special and talented musicians Brad Henderson and his lovely wife Mary Kay Henderson.

Brad came to FBC for the second time in 2009. He manages his own music production company, HendersongsMusic specializing in arranging and recording. Brad lives in Ft. Gibson with his wife, Mary Kay and they have two sons. Henderson received his BA in Instrumental Music Education from Northeastern State University and his MA in Composition from the University of Arkansas.

Mary Kay Henderson is a vocalist and women’s retreat speaker. Her ministry is focused on encouraging the local church, the importance of praise and worship, and victorious day-to-day living through Jesus Christ. In addition to her personal ministry, she travels throughout the United States and abroad with CHIEF (Christian Hope Indian-Eskimo Fellowship), a Phoenix based international ministry to indigenous people. She is also employed by the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma as the director of the Cherokee National Youth Choir, based in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Mary Kay received national attention in 1992 when singing the National Anthem at the Republican National Convention in Houston, Texas.
Mary Kay and Brad and live in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. They are members of First Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Brad serves on staff as a worship associate. They have two sons, Josh, a Midshipman at the US Naval Academy and Joe Creed, a talented musician based in Oklahoma. In addition to her travels and work with the Cherokee National Youth Choir, she teaches private voice and continues to be extremely active nationally as a professional vocalist and speaker.

Cost: $14 per person
 Cinnamon rolls, coffee, and juice, 9:00am-10:00am
Show time: 10:00-11:00, 15-minute intermission, 11:15-12:oopm
Lunch: Served at noon.
