2017 Directors and Dates

Week I: June 12-15, 2017
Debbie Thompson

Debbie currently serves as the Minister of Childhood Education at First Baptist Church Tulsa. She has faithfully served the families there for over 17 years, and loves working with families and their children. Debbie has also been the Chairmen of the Tulakogee Childrens Comittee for over 17+ years. She has been an intregal part of KMAK ever since it’s conception. KMAK wouldn’t be what it is today without Debbie’s hard work and persistance. Background: Third generation Sandite! Family: Married to Joe and they have two sons, who are both married to wonderful ladies. They are also the proud grandparents of two gorgeous little ladies, Isabella and Hope. Favorite Movie: A few favorites are “Steel Magnolias” and “The Holiday” Favorite TV Shows: Debbie also enjoys watching “CSI Las Vegas,” “NCIS,” and “The Big Bang Theory” .


Week II: June 19-22, 2017
Directors: Naysa Carroll 

Naysa Carrol

Naysa has been part of the children’s ministry at Arrow Heights since 1984, first as a Preschool teacher, then as the W.E.E. Director, then Preschool Minister and finally as the Minister of Childhood Education. She has been a KMAK Director for over 15+ years. She is an integral part in getting things ready for KMAK and is a fantastic KMAK director. Background: Born and raised in Tulsa, OK. Family:Married to Steve for 40 years. She  two grown children and most important three grandchildren. Michael (married to Judy), and Sharon (married to Scott). Favorite Movie: Secret Garden Favorite Book: Tuesday’s With Morrie Favorite Foods: Mexican, and ice cream Favorite Pastimes: Reading, swimming, and collecting dishes


Week III: July 17-20, 2017
Director: Connie Faurot

Connie trusted Christ at the age of 7 at Northwestern Baptist Assembly which is why camp is always a highlight of the summer!  Connie taught school for 23 years before coming on staff at South Tulsa Baptist Chuch in February 1994. Background: Connie is a graduate of Sharon High (graduated in the top 10) (there were only 10 in the class) and earned her BA in Elementary Education at Northwestern State College in Alva. Family: Connie has been married to Dick Faurot for over 40 yrs.  Dick is a meteorologist at KOTV.  They have two children.  Kevin lives in Broken Arrow and works at Cobra Manufacturing in Bixby.  Rachelle is married to Ashley Allinder and they currently live in Lorton, VA.  Rachelle is a RN and works in surgery while Ashley works with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon.  They are the parents of 4 yr. old Taylor and Preston who was born in May.



Week IV: July 24-27, 2017
Director: Debbie Barrett 

Debbie is Director of Children’s Ministries & Mother’s Day Out at First Baptist Church Inola, OK. Debbie and her husband Randy have four children, Jake, Josh, Jackie and Jedd. During a mission trip while in college Debbie sensed God calling her into Children’s Ministry. Besides FBC Inola Debbie has served two other churches in OK as Children’s Minister. Debbie’s personal goal is to guide children from the first grade until they enter 7th grade to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Debbie encourages, loves and guides children at her home church as well as KMAK.
